SOHO, Business and Fibre Packet Loss

Some BT services will be seeing packet loss on their connection. This follows the outage during the night caused by the loss of an interconnect from BT.

BT have been investigating and whilst the traffic has been re-routing, they are seeing other potential issues on that route.

The primary cause of the first failure was thought to be power failure of BT's equipment within their hosted site but this now has been revealed as component failure (catastrophic failure) of a entire chassis which is being replaced by BT at around 2am on Friday morning. After this work, we will monitor to see if the packet loss has stopped.
